I love decorating and there is never a shortage of supplies in Second Life. Great things come out almost every other day. I never get tired of arranging, rearranging and then re-rearranging a scene! Its part of the fun. For this picture I used a mix of new and old releases and would be content to curl up on that sofa, turn on the record player and enjoy the view. The sofa and shelf unit are the newest releases by NEWCHURCH. The sofa is part of the Flix & Chill set currently at the Red Light District and it is loaded with options. You can change the color of the sofa, the cushions and even resize it to fit your avatar to perfection. The set includes a rug, coffee table, tv, remote control, popcorn and more (not shown here)…everything you need to enjoy a weekend binge session of Netflix. The Bonny Console includes all the decor items shown on its shelves and is available at Cosmopolitan. It is modify so you can change the color of the wood to suit your needs. Be sure check them, take them home and enjoy your own view!
My daughter, an only child, got married 2 weeks ago. It was wonderful and bittersweet at the same time. I am so proud of her and who she has become. We live hundreds of miles apart and I miss her every day. She and I went hunting for fairies often when she was little and being the creative child she was, she spent a good month one summer, making tiny articles of clothing for the fairies she was sure flitted around our house. They were bits of twisted and tied fabric that I still have to this day. She would lay them out near her bed each night, sometimes with a note, and every morning those tiny pieces of clothing had been scooped up by the fairies sometime in the night. This beautiful pose by PosEd Poses was a sweet reminder of the childhood moments she and I shared. Someday I hope she has a blond haired little beauty of her own and that they spend warm summer evenings hunting fairy boys and girls among the flowerbeds and trees.
There is something about a sun filled room that can sooth the soul. I can just feel the warmth in this room, welcoming all who enter. Please, come sit and rest your weary eyes, join the cat in a nap and enjoy your day and/or evening…wherever you may be.
I love a room filled with light and shadows and looking at this room I can feel the fresh air, just starting to chill with the setting sun, and the smell of burning leaves in the distance. Decorating in Second Life has always brought me joy and I have spent countless hours doing just that. That is one of the joys of having more time to blog. I can throw up some walls or a house (which I have collected many of..houses and hair are my weakness) and build any room I can imagine. Grab a cup of coffee, curl up on the sofa and enjoy the view!
As the greenery of summer starts to give way to the red, yellow and oranges of fall, I knew I could count on Second Life to throw me right back into some tropical heat. I love this dress by Rapture and the way it changes color with the light. Its a great dress to slip into and go dancing and then watch the colors come to life. Hope you all had a great weekend and if you were lucky enough to have a long weekend you are already almost halfway through your work week! Enjoy!
Its been rainy here in the south and I am feeling a change in the winds. Maybe that’s because I know fall is just around the corner and just like things change with the seasons in real life they also change in Second Life. I am looking forward to all the new fall themed photos that will be popping up, my own and many other talented “neighbors” of mine. I am so inspired by fellow artists and hope someone enjoys my shots as much as I enjoy creating them. Have a great day!
